The role of a Sladen Project Manager
- Being a key player in the whole life cycle of multiple projects, launching, accompanying and closing out projects
- Constantly gathering and analysing client, participant and consultant feedback in order to present valuable insights to clients and the internal team for continuous learning
- Ensuring stakeholders are kept up to date with appropriate, timely communication, but more than that; being passionate about fostering deeper, meaningful relationships
- Planning, liaising and booking resources required for complex global projects; working with other team members as appropriate for the size of project
- Tracking budget and costs relating to the project. Adding and maintaining this data on CMap, our project and resource management system. At all times looking for opportunities to add further value to clients
- Monitoring delivery against success milestones. Being proactive and taking corrective actions where required and identifying opportunities to cheer and celebrate successes
- Managing internal projects matched to your skillset
- Supporting the wider Project Management and Hub Team

Is it you we're looking for?
Our dream project manager will have...
- Proven experience as a Project Manager
- Fluency in English (the ability to speak German would be a bonus!)
- Attention to detail is a must as is the ability to multi-task and prioritise
- Passion about delivering an excellent customer experience
- Brilliant written and verbal communication
- Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft 365, particularly Teams, PowerPoint, Excel and SharePoint
- Curiosity in the ever-changing technology that will keep our systems at the cutting edge
- The ability to cope with ambiguity and complexity and act with agility
- A client centric approach and be a confident team player
- The ability to problem solve and make decisions based on available data
- The desire to work flexibly to match client time zones
- A ‘twinkle in the eye’, an easy smile and a great sense of humour is a must!
What sort of projects could you be managing?
At Sladen, we partner with our clients to create solutions to solve their business challenges. We tailor everything to fit the need and culture of the organisation. And we bring fun, energy, impact and insights to all our solutions. No one day, or project is the same. Most Project Management work is done remotely, but on occasion the Project Manager does provide face-to-face support.
Our Project Management Team Vision: To be the driving force behind successful Sladen projects – delivering excellence by keeping pace with Sladen’s evolving portfolio requirements within time and budget. We manage risk, ensure quality standards and foster exceptional client relationships so that we are the partner of choice, delivering high value projects, in our unique Sladen way.
You will manage a portfolio of global projects such as:

- High Performing Teams workshops for 10 to over 40 participants at various offsite and client venues
- Learning Journeys involving multiple facilitators delivering virtual sessions for up to 150 participants based in different time zones
- Face-to-face or virtual events for 100 to 300 people which could involve coordinating a facilitation team, visual artists and consultants
- Bespoke Leadership Programs for multiple cohorts spanning countries, hierarchical levels and departments
Location - Remote.
Our working policy is ‘work where you do your best work’. We focus on outcomes not how we get there! Our ideal Project Manager will be based in the UK or Germany.
We do expect all employees to join us at our team meetings, which are a valuable time for us to see our colleagues face to face. These take place typically 4 times a year near our HQ in Hathersage in the English Peak District (and a beautiful place it is too!). We also have a German office in the Frankfurt area. And occasional overseas travel will be required as part of the role.
Our core working hours needs to match our client needs.
