Graham Smith

Despite being wedded to the mountains and rivers of Scotland I live in Devon. I have 2 sons Angus and Max with my wife Emma, the girl upstairs at Edinburgh University back in 1990. I love my rugby though sadly the contact version is behind me. I remain heavily involved in Topsham RFC taking over as chairman in 2020.
“I became a leadership development and organisational consultant partly because I had some experiences of being poorly led. I realised the enormous potential that those in positions authority have to affect the happiness or otherwise of those they attempt to lead and I want to play my part in making the workplace a more engaging happier and fulfilling place.”
I do this through the design and delivery of immersive learning experiences supported by reflection and facilitated discussion to uncover the “aha” moments. Lastly I believe if you’re not laughing you’re not learning so let’s make it fun.
Our clients tell us what makes us special is our ability to understand the business, culture and nuance of their organisation,  and our global network of brilliant facilitators who bring their work to life, making a real difference which generates value.

PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE

Graham served for 10 years in the Royal Marines before transitioning to the world of consulting via an MBA at Warwick Business School. He worked as a consultant for McKinney Rogers for 3 years developing high performing teams across the globe. Since 2004 he established his own consultancy focusing on Strategy Execution. Over time he learned that embedding new processes was singularly less effective if the systems, structures and leadership behaviours were not aligned to support those new processes. He therefore takes a holistic view to system change as a result.
